In cooperation with the Department for Companion Animals and Horses, Vetmeduni Vienna, Vienna, the
research on the effect of silver nanoparticles and two other preparations on the pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa obtained during routine diagnostic procedures from dog ears.
We provided the research team with the material we use in our TraumaPet Ag products. He compared it to gentamicin and silver sulfadiazine on 23 strains of the pathogen, and in all cases our material was ineffective at the minimum concentration of active ingredient. This is confirmed by practical experience with the high efficacy of our TraumaPet oto Ag ear drops. At the same time, the risk of resistance is minimized which, together with the minimal silver concentration and the relatively short application time, minimizes the undesirable burden on the organism. The results of the research were recently published at the 30th Annual Congress of the ECVD- ESVD, which took place 27-29 September in Dubrovnik.
We attach the abstract of the scientific paper.
